Not betraying the rave reviews on Booking.Com, the restaurant prepared
great variety of European as well as Maldivian menu. We were charged $180
a day, for us a family of three, all meals included. A great deal!

Huraa is located some half way back to the capital city Male. About 500m
north to south, some 300meters wide, it's a tiny island half the size of
Dhiffushi.
We the hopped on to a local ferry, to our next destination, Huraa island.
Meanwhile our little Misa had a great day, chasing and being chased by
million little fish.
There were great number of rock fish of all kinds. A cast a fish at places.
A new species for every 3 casts.
We took lodging at OceanVibes, on the south western corner again right on the beach. Here we spent the
latter half, 3days of our trip.
Again duly basic but functional. The bedroom was a little larger with a
shared living space just outside the door.
Thus we enjoyed the first 4 days of our trip in Dhiffushi. Fishing was
not exceptional but great time as a family holiday. If you manage to time
your visit to a low tide around noon, there is a good chance you can wade
the big flat on the island's SW corner.
We then went back to the sandbank to join my family for lunch. The afternoon
was spent wading the sand bar with a fly rod in the hand.
Well it was not a GT but a Bluefin. A good bluefin if I may add.
I had one more fish on but lost him, and that was it for the morning session.
But they were all small. Around 20cm all of them.
I wandered around trying to sight trevallies, but in vain. The sand bar
was located inside the reef, perhaps too featureless to the liking of the
predators.
The first fish was a shark. Then soon afterward a solid hook up! Could this be?
Hassan hadn't have much experience fishing but loves diving. He took me
to a spot where he often see GT while guiding divers.
The way he drove the boat was not quite how I want a GT captain would,
but who am I to complain paying only $80 for a good 3hours' service. I
started the game with a classic GT lure, surface bull.
Next day we jumped onto a charter boat to get some serious fishing done.
Having left Sayuri and Misa on a sand bank to laze around, Hassan drove
the boat to the reef edge where big waves were breaking.
