Consistent supply of snowmelt kept the rivers healthy, inviting strong run of the steelheads.
Meanwhile dry fly games kicked in upstream.

The 4th Saturday of April marks the beginning of the new season.

Severe cold and heavy snowfall we had this year. On a frigid but sunny day we went out to Lake Simcoe, the mecca of ice fishing.

Fun (relatively) warm fishing inside the (mildly) heated cabin.

Out on the lake Ontario, Steelhead were not hospitable enough.
