July

Back in Japan, to resume my 'life mission'.
A solid 51cm from Day1!
Good bye, to the lovely rivers of Ontario and their adorable residents.

- TT Ontario
Time to leave Canada. We paid our final visit to the upper reach of the Credit river.

Steelhead game continued till the end of May.
Meanwhile they were already in action, running up the rivers (still not open for fishing yet)
June

Swinging streamers for big browns gorging on salmon fries. But unlike the previous year, no big drama.
To make up for the absense of trout, a PB smallmouth bass, 50cm, snatched my muddler minnow.
May

Consistent supply of snowmelt kept the rivers healthy, inviting strong run of the steelheads.
Meanwhile dry fly games kicked in upstream.
Finger burning long runs and the sheer power.

April

The 4th Saturday of April marks the beginning of the new season.
March

Severe cold and heavy snowfall this year. On a frigid but sunny day we went out to Lake Simcoe, the mecca of ice fishing.

Fun (relatively) warm fishing inside the (mildly) heated cabin.
End March

Out on the lake Ontario, Steelhead were not hospitable enough.
